Listed for sale is a beautiful 1985 EURO Mercedes-Benz 500SL. The Euro version packs more power than its American successor, the 560SL, with its rally-inspired V8 5.0L engine and the physical attributes to prove it. From details like the stylistically slim Euro bumper to the factory produced spoiler and valence, your car won't be mistaken for anything other than the rare find it is! The car was imported and federalized in Florida, USA in 1985 and has been immaculately maintained by one owner throughout its history. The car was acquired by chance; An order was placed for 7 models of the Euro 500SL by a renowned horse trainer at a Miami based Mercedes Dealer. The owner of the dealership then reached out to the current owner after one of the cars remained unclaimed. True fate, indeed.

This Euro 500SL originally came with BBS mesh wheels as standard, however, they were replace with the now shown, newer, Mercedes OEM wheels. The bodywork is in like-new condition along with the original panels. The body has no signs of rust and the paint finish hasn’t aged a day since 1985. This car also features a color-matched removable hardtop, as well as a newly replaced soft top. Additional features include dual exhaust outlets and polished chrome window surrounds, mirrors, and trim.

The light and airy interior provides a stark contrast to its dark and moody exterior appearance. The color of the interior seats match the R107 interior color code: Parchment, and have been maintained throughout the years, courtesy of the seat protectors pictured. The dash has also stood the test of time and remains unharmed by sun damage and cracking. The car also boasts luxurious comforts such as climate control, heated seats, manually adjustable seats, electric windows, and cruise control. And if that wasn't luxury enough, your hands will surely feel it once they are wrapped around the Nardi wood grain steering wheel.

With 113,000 original miles, the car runs and drives beautifully. The aforementioned 5.0 V8 engine transmits its power through the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is factory rated at 237 horsepower and 296 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 140mph. Like most Mercedes, the 500SL performs very well over high speed, long distance highway runs, which works out pretty well, considering the average miles per gallon for this car are roughly at 19, putting it at the lower end of fuel consumption for a V8. This particular model has also had a recent service costing over $6,000 to ensure it's ready to drive for another lifetime.
