Arctic White over Medium Red | Authentic AMG Components | Collector-Level Example
This 1991 300CE/24 represents a rare opportunity to acquire a carefully preserved and thoughtfully configured example of one of Mercedes-Benz’s most desirable pillarless coupes from the early 1990s.
Finished in 147U Arctic White over 267 Medium Red, this car combines period-correct AMG styling, rare interior components, and meticulous long-term care.
Exterior
The car retains its original, authentic AMG body kit, giving it the understated yet purposeful presence that defines the era. At the rear is a genuine AMG three-piece ducktail spoiler with AMG stamping on the underside. These spoilers are no longer in circulation and are increasingly difficult to source.
The car rides on authentic AMG Monoblock Aero I wheels in a staggered configuration. The rear wheels have been professionally widened to 9 inches, maintaining proper proportions and period correctness. Suspension consists of H&R springs paired with Bilstein B8 dampers at all four corners.
The exterior is finished with Bosch headlamps and is in very good overall condition. The entire vehicle has been ice blasted throughout, underscoring the condition and care of the chassis and underbody.
Brand new Michelin Pilot tires are fitted.
Interior
The interior features a full set of rare, period-correct Recaro SC seats, including both front and rear seats, a configuration seldom seen. The seats and door panels have been reupholstered in Medium Red with custom white piping, complementing the factory interior color while preserving a period-appropriate look.
Audio equipment includes a Nakamichi head unit, Focal speakers, and Alpine amplifiers, installed cleanly and in keeping with the era of the vehicle.
Mechanical
The M104 24-valve engine and automatic transmission run well. The car has been consistently and carefully maintained, with attention paid to both mechanical integrity and overall presentation.
History
This vehicle was shipped to Chicago for the 233 West AMG Meet in Westmont, where it was presented among other notable AMG examples. It has been maintained to a standard suitable for enthusiast and collector display.
Summary
This example stands apart due to its authentic AMG components, rare Recaro interior, documented enthusiast exposure, and overall condition.
This is not a mass-produced AMG model but rather a highly desirable period-correct build that reflects how these cars were configured and enjoyed during AMG’s pre-merger era.
