1933 Cadillac 355C V8 - 7k Miles TMU

VIN: 3000178

Mileage: 7,000

Title: Clean California

This 1933 Cadillac Series 355C is a Fisher-bodied convertible coupe that underwent a refurbishment in 2007. It is powered by a replacement 353ci L-head V8 engine—sourced from a LaSalle and rebuilt during the restoration—paired with a three-speed manual transmission. Finished in red over a caramel interior, the car features a tan folding convertible top, a rumble seat with external step access, dual side-mount spare tires, and a removable, color-matched trunk mounted on a folding chrome luggage rack. Additional features include 17″ wire-spoke wheels with Denman wide whitewall tires, vacuum-assisted drum brakes, and adjustable shock absorber damping.

This Cadillac was sold on Bring a Trailer in 2020 and subsequently shipped to Canada, where it remained in private ownership for several years. It has since returned to the U.S. and is now offered for sale in California by Heritage Gruppe, titled in the company’s name with a clean California title.

The body was refinished in red during the 2007 refurbishment and features a tan convertible top, chrome bumpers, a chrome grille surround, fender-mounted headlamps, and black rubber-covered running boards. The rear rumble seat adds a classic touch, and the paint-matched removable trunk offers both aesthetic appeal and practicality.

The interior is trimmed in caramel-colored upholstery with matching door panels and tan carpets. The black dashboard is accented with wood trim across the dash fascia and door tops. A three-spoke steering wheel houses integrated lighting and throttle controls, and it fronts a full set of factory instrumentation including a 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer currently shows 7,000 miles, which is believed to have been reset during the 2007 refurbishment. The car’s total mileage is unknown.

Power comes from the aforementioned 353ci L-head V8, rebuilt and balanced during the restoration, and mated to a three-speed manual transmission that delivers power to the rear wheels.

The car is titled by the serial number stamped on the original engine. A copy of the factory build sheet, dated January 10, 1933, is included, listing the original specifications. The sale also includes a binder of service records from the previous owner’s 20+ year stewardship, original factory literature, and a set of antique golf clubs.
