Exterior
This 1967 Ford Mustang convertible is one of just 8,527 factory-equipped with the Sports Sprint appearance package, and it is one of only 827 examples from the model year finished in Frost Turquoise (code B) with matching two-tone Aqua interior. Nicknamed “Frosty,” the car underwent a multi-year restoration during the 2010s that was overseen by a Mustang Club of America (MCA) Gold Card judge specializing in 1967–68 models. The bodywork included sheet metal repairs, a repaint in the original Frost Turquoise, and the installation of a replacement white convertible top with new pads. The windshield was replaced, and exterior trim components were refurbished or replaced as needed. Rocker panel moldings add a period-correct touch to the overall presentation.
The car rides on 14″ steel wheels fitted with wire-style covers and 195/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw whitewall radial tires. Braking is managed by drums at all four corners. The suspension and braking systems were comprehensively overhauled during the restoration process.
Interior
The cabin features replacement two-tone Aqua vinyl upholstery that matches the car’s rare factory specifications. The interior restoration also included new matching carpets, a replacement dashboard pad, and Mustang-logo floor mats. A Custom Autosound stereo system has been added for modern usability while preserving the original dashboard appearance.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, engine temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 67k miles, with around 150 miles added under current ownership. The trunk area was refinished to match the exterior body color and features a replacement mat and spare tire cover.
Performance & Maintenance
Power is provided by a factory-rated 200ci inline-six engine producing 120 horsepower. Both the engine and engine bay were refinished during the restoration, and visual presentation remains consistent with factory specifications. Originally delivered with a three-speed manual transmission, the car was converted to an automatic under previous ownership for improved drivability.
The suspension and braking systems were overhauled, and the underbody was refinished with a black textured protective coating. The car is reported to be in strong mechanical condition with minimal mileage accumulated since the restoration was completed.
History & Documentation
After being stored for approximately 30 years, this Mustang was restored under the supervision of an MCA Gold Card judge and went on to win a MCA National Gold Award, as well as several other first-place honors. It was also featured in Mustang Times magazine, highlighting its standout presentation and rarity. The car is offered with both a Deluxe and Standard Marti Report, which confirm its rare color and trim combination along with original production details.
Additional documentation includes a binder of restoration photos, ownership literature including the original owner’s manual, and removed factory components. This Frost Turquoise Sports Sprint convertible is now offered on behalf of the seller’s LLC with a clean Montana title and is located in California.
