Exterior

This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback underwent a full rotisserie restoration and is finished in its correct Ford #1632-A Vintage Burgundy paint. The car was originally built in San Jose, California, and restoration work returned the body to factory-correct specifications. The exterior features GT package elements, including fog lights, dual exhaust trumpets exiting through the rear valance, and GT badging. Chrome trim, bumpers, and brightwork were refinished, and new glass and seals were fitted during the refurbishment. A recent professional color correction was performed in preparation for the sale.

Interior

The cabin is fitted with a fully restored Parchment interior, consistent with the factory specification for this example. Features include front bucket seats, a center console, and wood-grain trim on the dash and steering wheel. GT-specific details such as badging and instrumentation are present. The restoration focused on factory correctness, with upholstery, carpeting, and headliner all redone to period specifications.

Performance & Maintenance

Power is provided by a 390ci S-code B16 big-block V8 backed by an automatic transmission. The car is equipped with the added GT package, which includes power steering and front disc brakes. A 9" rear end with a 3.50:1 gear ratio is also fitted. Since its restoration, the car has been driven sparingly, remaining largely in storage with occasional use. A new battery was installed prior to the sale, and the car remains in strong running order.

History & Documentation

This Mustang was purchased by the current owner at the Barrett-Jackson auction in 2016 and has been retained in storage since, driven only occasionally. The restoration was completed prior to acquisition, and it represents an extremely correct-to-factory-spec build for the first model year of the big-block Mustang Fastback. The sale includes a Deluxe Marti Report verifying original specifications and options.
