1964 Chevrolet
Sold
Tuxedo Black from the factory, now sitting on air over US Mags with a 350 and a 700R4 underneath. The 1964 Impala SS is one of the great American shapes, and this one has been built to be used.
This 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS is a two-door sport coupe acquired by the current owner in 2021 and subsequently modified with a replacement drivetrain, an air suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. Power comes from a 350ci V8 equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and Performer EPS intake manifold, backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Finished in black over color-keyed upholstery, the car is offered with a California title. The five-digit odometer shows 9,000 miles and total mileage is unknown.
Exterior
The car left the factory finished in Tuxedo Black (900) and was repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include a right-side radio mast, quadruple headlights, dual side mirrors, and bright metal trim on the hood, trunk lid, and sides.
Wheels, Suspension & Brakes
US Mags 18" front and 20" rear alloy wheels are mounted with Federal Super Steel tires measuring 235/40 and 255/35 respectively. An air suspension has been installed featuring dual pumps and four-way switches. The car is equipped with power steering, and the brakes have been converted to four-wheel discs with drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. The brake booster and hoses were replaced under current ownership.
Interior
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Bright metal trim accents the dash and center console, and an aftermarket air conditioning system has been added along with a Boss touchscreen head unit connected to speakers in the rear parcel shelf. The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and fronts a sweeping 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a fuel level gauge. An AutoMeter coolant temperature gauge sits below the left side of the dash, and Airmaxxx air pressure gauges are mounted under the glove compartment.
Engine & Drivetrain
The 350ci V8 is based on an early 1980s GM small block and is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and Performer EPS aluminum intake manifold, along with a finned air cleaner lid and valve covers. The dual exhaust system exits to either side via polished finishers. An aluminum radiator has been installed, and the starter is said to have been replaced under current ownership. Power reaches the rear wheels through the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, and the rear axle shafts were reportedly replaced under current ownership.
