1974 BMW 2002

Sahara Beige, BBS RS wheels on Spanish Gold centers, an Alpina lip, and Euro metal bumpers. This 2002 has been built to a specific vision rather than restored to a standard.

This 1974 BMW 2002 is finished in Sahara Beige over a tan and black leather interior and shows 22,000 miles since its engine rebuild in 2012. It has been under current ownership since October 2023 and was repainted in its original factory color. Records documenting the engine rebuild and a detailed list of modifications accompany the car.

Exterior

The paintwork is vibrant following the repaint in original Sahara Beige. Exterior modifications include an Alpina front lip and rear spoiler, Euro metal front and rear bumpers, and Classic Sport front fog lamps. The car rides on 15" BBS RS wheels with Spanish Gold centers and polished lips, wrapped in Toyo tires, added by the current owner. A matte black strip along the edge of the hood was painted on by the previous owner, who rebuilt the engine.

Interior

The cabin features E30 front Recaro sport seats reupholstered in new BMW vinyl alongside the original rear seats, a MOMO Heritage steering wheel and shift knob, and IE interior handles and window knobs. Entertainment is provided by a Pioneer radio and speakers with an added bass tube and amplifiers. The interior shows minimal wear, and under the dash mat there is only a single crack along the dash, uncommon for a car of this age.

Engine & Drivetrain

The engine was rebuilt in 2012 and breathes through an upgraded 32/36 Weber carburetor, complemented by a custom exhaust system. The suspension has been upgraded with Ground Control coilovers, Eibach front and rear shocks, and IE front camber plates.

An extra set of Enkei mesh wheels with new tires is included, along with a new Euro-style front chrome bumper that has not been installed, fiberglass turbo-style fender flares, and two front wheel spacers for use with the Enkei wheels.
