1979 Chevrolet
Sold — $10,100
A California car for nearly thirty years, with the same owner since 2000, a records binder, and a Vintage Chevrolet Club of America certificate. This is the unglamorous version of preservation, and it works.
This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a 305ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in beige with brown pinstriping. The five-digit odometer shows 89,000 miles, approximately 40,000 of which were added under current ownership. It is offered with a car show award, a records binder, a Vintage Chevrolet Club of America certificate, and a clean California title.
Exterior
The beige exterior features brown pinstriping, and the front bumper cover has been repainted. Details include body-color front and rear bumpers, rear window louvers, sport mirror housings, and bodyside moldings. Close-up photographs of the paint, trim, and imperfections are provided in the gallery, including a scrape on the right-rear quarter panel. The 14" Rally wheels feature body-color centers and polished trim rings and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires measuring 225/60 front and 245/60 rear. The car is equipped with power steering, front discs, and rear drums.
Interior
The Camel vinyl-trimmed front bucket seats and split rear seats are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and carpets. Amenities include an adjustable driver's seatback, a Delco AM/FM stereo, air conditioning, and a fire extinguisher mounted to the passenger floor. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a fuel level gauge, and warning lights.
Engine & Drivetrain
The 305ci V8 was factory rated at 130 horsepower and last passed a California emissions test in November 2022. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
Service
Oil and filter changes have been performed on schedule. The valve cover gaskets, alternator, and mechanical fuel pump have been replaced, and the radiator has been upgraded with the original included alongside new coolant hoses.
Known Issues
A leak is present from the transmission oil pan and the power steering hose.
Note: Additional details including VIN, service records, and further photography will be provided to serious inquiries.
