1988 BMW E30 M3 2.7L

A 2.7-liter stroker S14 with Schrick cams, a Link standalone ECU, and a carbon fiber airbox. This E30 M3 has been built to be driven hard, and the specification reads more like a track program than a restoration.

The S14 inline-four has been stroked to 2.7 liters, sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Exterior

The 2.7-liter stroker S14 is built with CP pistons, SuperTech valves, and Schrick 284/276 camshafts, running an E36 coil pack conversion, a carbon fiber airbox, and a Link standalone ECU on a custom wiring harness. Exhaust is handled by a 50mm S14 header feeding a custom 2.5" system by Strom with a SuperSpring sport muffler. Further work includes an electric fan conversion, AKG motor and transmission mounts, a new starter, alternator, and air conditioning compressor, and a Rogue Engineering short shifter.

Chassis, Suspension & Brakes

The car runs Ground Control coilovers, a Suspension Technique front and rear sway bar kit measuring 22mm and 19mm respectively, and a Garagistic front strut bar.
