1999 Mercedes-Benz
Sold — $28,000
Before AMG was a trim level, it was a promise. The W210 E55 is what that promise looked like in 1999: a hand-built 5.4-liter V8 dropped into a mid-size sedan with almost nothing on the outside to announce it. Four doors, a modest badge, and enough torque to embarrass most of what shared the road with it.
This 1999 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over blue and black leather and is powered by the 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. It remained under long-term ownership in Georgia from 2005 until it sold on Bring a Trailer in August 2021, and was acquired by the current owner the following year. It is offered on dealer consignment with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
Exterior
The car wears Brilliant Silver Metallic (744U) with AMG lower body styling, a glass sunroof, xenon headlights, fog lights, and twin AMG-branded exhaust finishers. Aftermarket wheels fitted under previous ownership were replaced with 18" AMG Monoblocks, now mounted with Continental tires measuring 245/40 front and 275/35 rear. Eibach lowering springs have been retrofitted.
Interior
The seats are trimmed in blue leather with black side bolsters and matching door panels, complemented by wood trim across the center console, dash, and doors. Equipment includes heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear window sunshade. A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts AMG-branded instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,000-rpm redline.
Engine & Drivetrain
The 5.4-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 349 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque, sending power to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. An AMG exhaust system is fitted. A remanufactured water pump has been installed, and the air conditioning compressor, ambient air temperature sensor, rear brake pads, and tires were all replaced under current ownership.
Documentation
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage. The sale includes service records and a clean California title.
Note: Additional details including VIN, service records, and further photography will be provided to serious inquiries.
