What matters when selling a Porsche
Numbers-matching drivetrain
An engine and transmission that match the chassis carry a real premium, especially on air-cooled cars — 964s, 993s, and early 911s. We confirm and state this plainly in the listing.
IMS bearing and RMS history
On 1997–2005 M96/M97-engined cars (Boxster, 996), bidders will ask whether the intermediate shaft bearing and rear main seal have been addressed. Having the answer documented, either way, avoids a listing full of the same question asked over and over.
Original books, tools, and paint
A complete tool kit, air pump, owner's manuals, and original paint code close the gap between a good result and an exceptional one.
Documentation that moves the needle
A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity (Kardex) confirming factory options, alongside consistent service records, is what serious bidders look for first. No. We collect in person anywhere in Southern California — Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire, Ventura and Santa Barbara. Outside the region we work with owners nationwide and arrange transport to our Los Angeles warehouse, where the car is prepared and photographed like any other.
Once the consignment agreement is signed, your car comes to our secure Los Angeles warehouse, where it's prepared, photographed, and stored through the auction and until handover to the buyer. You're kept informed at every step.
Once the auction closes and the buyer's funds clear, net proceeds are wired directly to you — typically within two weeks of the sale. You'll receive a clear accounting of any agreed expenses along with your final payment.
It can affect how a listing performs, not necessarily the car's underlying value — if the intermediate shaft bearing hasn't been addressed on an applicable 1997–2005 M96/M97 engine, bidders will ask about it regardless. We document the car's actual status upfront so the listing answers the question instead of inviting it.
